Terrible -- Vann's lost part of my order

My experience with Vann's was hugely disappointing. I ordered 2 DVD players for the Salvation Army Christmas Angel program. Vann's only delivered one, and cannot explain what happened to the other DVD player. The Salvation Army picked up the gifts yesterday, so now some 15-year old child named Moises will go w/out a gift this Christmas. This is a terrible result. Vann's has done nothing to address my concern. Bahumbug!

WOULD NEVER CONSIDER USING THEM AGAIN

My shopping experience with Vanns.com was not satisfactory. I pre-ordered and paid for a product so that I would be "guaranteed" to receive the product when it was delivered to their warehouse.

When the product arrived to them, they sent an email to me asking that I call them before they shipped the order for security purposes. This made no sense to me, since I had already provided a credit card with matching phone number and shipping address. I could not respond instantly because I was out of town, a few days later when I responded, they very rudely informed me that they released the item to another customer. Their customer service was rude and did nothing to address the situation.

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS VENDOR TO ANYONE.

Broken and used product

I ordered an Onkyo HT-SR800Black from the on line store. on 10-22-07. The unit arrived on the 25th which I was at first happy about. Upon inspection of the box it was cut up and re taped and the straps inside had obviously been redone. the receiver was opened and had a distinct electrical smell to it. I figured if it worked I would overlook the problems. In opening up the speaker enclosure however I found the center channel speaker had a big gash in it. I called customer service and they offered to refund or exchange the unit. Also although it had a FedEx tracking number it was not a FedEx truck that delivered the unit.I will follow up with how the exchange goes but as of now this is unacceptable. I believe Vanns to be a good company as I have been in their stores. This purchase left me with a bad feeling about them though. Hopefully that can be fixed depending on how easy this is to exchange and how long it takes to get the new product.

Will not do business with again

Placed an online order, went to confirmation page and everything "looked" fine. Said I would receive an E-mail confirmation, I never did. I called a couple days later to f/u on this, they have no record of my order even though I have a printed confirmation page. When I called back to place the order by phone this time, I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes, then I was hung up on. When I called back, "Greg" answered and didn't seem to care about any of the problems I had been having. I will take my purchase to a local electronics store.

I ordered 2 camcorders from this site, they took money from my account and they called me they are out of stock for this cameras. They refunded my money 2 days later. So, I would not shop from this site.

All Around Poor Job

I placed an order for 3 speakers in their clearance section.

I received 3 confirmation emails titled "Order Confirmation" "Order Has Been Approved" and "Order Shipping Notice."
<br>

Then, over 24 hours later they send me an email that said:

"Unfortunately we are having a stock issue with this order. Our website allowed you to order the item, when we were actually out of stock. Please call us at 1-800-769-5668 so we can give you your options and resolve the issue."
<br>
<br>
When I called, they didn't do anything to "resolve" the issue, they told me they were "very sorry" but I was SOL. No offer to make it up in any way. Even after I explained that based on their confirmation emails I had placed an order with another vendor for the rest of the system, there was no actual customer service - no offer of a discount on another purchase, nothing.
<br>

They lied when they sent me a shipping confirmation and they didn't feel any obligation to correct the situation. First and last time I ever shop there.

Product arrived in terrible condition

My shopping experience here as good until my merchandise arrived. I purchased a Digital Camera and an Ipod within 2 days of each other and they both arrived in a condition that was unsuitable to be given as a gift.

The box on the Camera was smashed in and the IPod plastic case was scratched all over. There were multiple labels posted on the the case. There was the remains of an orange label that was attached to the case at one point and never completely removed. Unbelievable. I will never ever purchase anything from this company. Must be the thin air in the mountains that makes people not give a rat's behind.

AWFUL - NO CUSTOMER SERVICE

BEWARE! Vanns.com sent Damaged Item - Zero Customer Service - No Response To Problem.

I purchased an Infinity TSS-1200 home theater system for $500.00. The item arrived distressed and damaged and had been exposed to moisture/water. I called Vanns.com customer service on the same day of delivery and requested an RMA to return. The customer service telephone was forwarded to a voice mailbox. I left a detailed message. I also sent (2) emails requesting an RMA to return the damaged item.

Vanns.com did not respond.

POOR PRODUCT QUALITY - HORRIFIC COSTUMER SERVICE

I purchased my television from Vanns, and returned to buy my speaker system and receiver, a choice that I regret wholeheartedly. Not only did the system itself disappoint in its sound quality, the sales team misled and condescended in their response to the problem. The boxes used to ship the product were used, and passed off as new. I called to speak with costumer service who advised me to send the product back at my own cost - 200 DOLLARS LATER in shipping charges and no system to listen to my television - I will NEVER USE THIS WEB SERVICE AGAIN, and advise anyone considering their great "deals" to keep into consideration the fact that you must deal with a montana based company that has no regard for their customers satsifaction.

BEWARE took $9143 dollars not refunded

Absolutely FRAUD, I order on Jan, 21st, 2004, 4 bose lifestyle 50 systems. They charges my credit card $9143 dollars. they never shipped the order and i still have not received the credit.

So they took my $9143 dollars and sent nothing and when i called they simply stated that they wont sell to me , i then asked if they really had them in stock and they didnt answer.

I think they are a bait and switch outfit and i STRONGLY suggest to stay away from them.

Beware of product packaging damage in shipments!

Just received my iPod shuffle from Vanns.com. The package is scratched and looks used, and a huge yellow tracking sticker covers the back of the package. Contacted customer care, and they said they don't guarantee shipping damage of product packaging. I won't shop here again.

Would Never Buy From Again

I would never buy from Vanns.com again. I purchased a TV that when I pulled from the box was a "lemon". The TV would turn on and off automatically. Vanns would only state their return policy and referred me to Samsung who would only provide service on the TV, not replace. They ignored my E-mails and just continued to repeat their return policy. All I wanted to do was get the TV replaced. I have since disputed the charge with AMX. Terrible experience from this retailer.

WARNING!!!! Horrible Customer Service, Purchased over $2000 in products and paid for two day shipping. It took Vanns 6 days to ship the items and with the weekend the items did not come until 10 days after order. This is after they charged me $130 for shipping. Do not buy from them, complete rip off!!!!

My first television arrived broken. My second television was sent to the wrong zip code. I had to get everything fixed at the shipping company. Vanns customer service did nothing for me. Every email went un-answered and every time I called I waited for at least 15 minutes on hold. I spent 1000 dollars and I still have no television to watch yet. It's been almost 3 weeks since my original order was placed.

My consumer experience was very poor with Vanns.com. A company's true performance can be measured by the manner with which they deal with issues. I received a broken speaker from Vanns.com just before the holidays. I spoke with two customer service employees (including the supervisor) that were absolutely rude. They each made a number of smart remarks through our conversations. Although Vanns.com inundates you with their excellent customer service ratings (including when they place you on hold), in reality it was non-existent. I received the cold shoulder just after explaining that I had a return. The manager did not make me feel that he fully understood my issue. Frankly, I do not think that he really cared. He also gave me a hard time. I am sure that Vanns.com is fine if you do not run into issues, but beware if you do. They are not there to support you.

Ordered a large screen TV. Okay except that it arrived broken! Sent it back, next one had a major screen flaw. Customer service (an oxymoron and a moron of another sort as well) was terrible, to say the least. You would not believe the time wasted and the frustration. After dinking around with them I realized there was no way I was ever gonna give this company my money: A first-time customer became a never-again customer for Vann's.

I would NOT recommend this site. It took 4 separate phone calls following my internet order to just get the order completed and shipped (hopefully). I placed an order for an in stock item, Sony DAV-FX100W surround sound system on Monday, 11/14/2005. It is now the afternoon of Friday 11/18 and the order has FINALLY been confirmed and is ready to ship. The order was supposed to have already been here according to the original order.. in fact with all the various mistakes they have made it won't be here until the end of next week. A full week late, for no reason other than their errors in processing my order.

I placed an order on Saturday, December 23rd and was told it would ship by Wednesday (the 27th) the latest. By Friday, I had not gotten any confirmation, so I called Customer Service. Initially the customer service guy told me it was shipped on the 26th. Then he realized he was mistaken. It was not yet shipped at all. The fellow I was speaking with was somewhat rude to me, and told me it was human error. My order took over two weeks to get here. I was not at all happy with Vann's service, and would not do business with them again.
