For their fifth album, Orange County Christian metal band Project 86 wisely retreat from the musical brutality of 2004's SONGS TO BURN YOUR BRIDGES BY. AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW is still a pummeling listen, but singer Andrew Schwab has re-introduced melody into his vocals, and his guitarist foil, Randy Torres, matches him by opening up the band's sound to include heartfelt ballads, flirtations with alternative pop, and, on the title track, even a dash of electronica. Emotionally and musically wide-ranging, this is the band's best effort so far. Minimize
