Cons: can't think of any
The Bottom Line: Good vs. evil, appearance vs. content, individuality vs. conformity. Themes that live and breathe in this book. Come explore them.

The Bottom Line: This is a great story about interesting children who go on an adventure through space to save their father and possibly so much more.

Pros: Nerds as heroes, exciting, L'Engle doesn't write down to children.
Cons: Perhaps the religious undertones.
The Bottom Line: A Wrinkle in Time is one of the most exciting and well-crafted books for young people still in print.

Pros: A well written and uplifting sci-fi adventure for pre-teens.
Cons: On the ALA's 100 most challenged books list. ????????
The Bottom Line: I would say this is a must read for any pre-teen, both because of its uplifting content and because it is just so much fun to read.

Pros: Charming characters, exciting plot, and imaginative settings.
Cons: Slow start and references to God and Christianity may not appeal to some readers.
The Bottom Line: L'Engle manages to introduce scientific, linguistic, philosophical, and ethical concepts in a wonderfully simple manner in this thoroughly enjoyable tale.
