Pros: Wonderful insight into the origins and inspirations of Calvin and Hobbes.
Cons: I would have liked 500 pages instead of 200.
The Bottom Line: If you like Calvin and Hobbes, this book is a MUST HAVE.

Pros: File under: cannot be categorized
Cons: You try to draw and write a cartoon perfect from the start, Mr. Michelangelo Dickens!
The Bottom Line: Calvin and Hobbes introduces the earliest days of Bill Wattersons devious duo. Required: signed certificate verifying a sense of imagination. A must have for long-term fans and fresh recruits.

Pros: Wit and deep feeling, all rolled up in a mischievous six year old
Cons: Same as everyone elses. Bill Watterson stopped writing.
The Bottom Line: The strips appealed to the child and the adult in all of us. This is a fine collection to help us remember.

Pros: A new insight into an old favorite, C&H though the eyes of it's creator.
Cons: No new strips.
The Bottom Line: This book is essential to complete your collection- though you may have the strips in other collections, the commentary makes it all worthwhile.

Pros: I don't know if I can list them all. this strip is funny, intuitive, and just the biggest laugh you can pack into a sunday paper... that is before 1996.
Cons: May not be the best thing for a child under 10 to get a hold of... it doesn't teach things appropriate for them, if they try to copy Calvin it could be a disaster =o)
