Pros: Delightfully engrossing story that came to life. The book got children reading.
Cons: None for me
The Bottom Line: Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was a wonderful first book in a series by J.K. Rowling. It is considered a children's book, but adults can enjoy it too.

Pros: One of the best books for kids ever written.
Cons: Keeps you up late at night hanging on every word.
The Bottom Line: I can see why the kids went wild for Harry Potter. It's a great book for all ages.

Pros: Entertaining, fun, creative, imaginative
Cons: Books are addictive, reader ends up neglecting real-life activities
The Bottom Line: Harry Potter books are great for all ages, and are a great way to spend time when relaxing. Rowling's imaginative writing makes for a refreshing read.

Pros: Rowlings use of names, imagination, fun, and well-established themes of friendship
Cons: I tried to jump off my roof riding a broom. THAT stings.
The Bottom Line: Sets the storyline for the Harry Potter series of novels...a slower start than the other books, but still a well-written, enjoyable read.

Pros: Wizards, witches, flying broomsticks, goblins, dragons, humor... fantasy for everyone!
Cons: Some parents may be wary of the whole magic scene, but no worries, I promise!
The Bottom Line: This is a fantastic book for children and adults alike! Enjoy this book with your child or parent!

Cons: A controversial book that has been banned in some places. Also, new books in the series only come out once a year.
