Pros: Whew. Argerich sweeps all before her in conquest.
Cons: A bit heavy in spots, still rates five. I'd give it six if I could.
The Bottom Line: Thunderous playing, but so precise it will break your heart.

Pros: Piano concertos played with flaming passion and sensitivity
Cons: Not for those who like their music genteel.
The Bottom Line: Argerich's lightning fast and furious technique, balanced with a beautifully nostalgic lyricism in the slower passages are a must for those who like super-charged versions of these works.

Pros: the most charged, energetic and riveting account of R's PC#3--wonderfully coupled with Tchaikovsky.
Cons: Soon Out of Print, technically not always perfect
The Bottom Line: If you need to be turned on to classical music, go no further. A tour de force, an orgiastic experience... 60 minutes to remember!

Pros: This live recording of the Rachmaninov 3rd is breathtaking.
Cons: The Tchaikovsky is just banged out. It cannot bear comparison with Van Cliburn's.
The Bottom Line: Buy it for the Rachmaninov. Argerich's live performance with Chailly is deeply insightful and passionate.
