SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 for PlayStation 2
Pros: Great game, realistic.
Cons: None Full review SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 for PlayStation 2 is one of the best games my brother and I have ever played. As huge fans of the WWE since we were kids, we have gotten every game that has ever come out. This one by far beats them all. The wrestlers look so much more real. From the body detail to the moves that each one personaly does. I have never seen graphics so great on a wrestling game before this one. The colors are vibrant and true to the WWE colors in real life. God, some of the moves they do seems more real then it is to watch it on the television. I was honestly amazed by it. My brother was in awe to say the least. I think he is the bigger fan out of the two of us. The backround is even great. The audience looks real they hold up signs and cheer and/or boo the person who is wrestling. It's not like it used to be where the audience looks exactly the same from person to person, it is more like different people all over now in the SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 for PlayStation 2 game. You can choose from pretty much every wrestler A to Z from Smackdown and from Raw to be your player. I love that. A large variety makes for a new games over and over again. Your players can have stats on who won what match and even pass around the belts. I think thats one of the best parts about it. Of course my brother kicks my butt most of the time when we play, but hey, I am not the one who plays it 10 hours a day.lol The controls are how you choose to set them as in most games so there is nothing really new there. But the moves are updated. Same moves with more realistic look and quicker reflexes by the person you are using. I like to be Tripple H and my brother likes to be Flair. He loves when he comes out dancing just like on TV. We get a kick out of how real it looks. Even the facial features are true to life which is rather hard to believe for a game unless you see it for yourself. The voice is clear, and the music is more clear than last years game. The sound effects of the wrestlers getting hit or falling down is amazing. It's really hard to believe that a game could be this good. I know I am bragging a bit about it. But like I said many times I am amazed by it. We got it for eachother for Christmas. It was $80.00 in Popular Club's book so we ordered it and each paid $40.00. It seems pricey for a game but it really isn't if you are a huge fan the way that we are and always have been. I love the way they come through the door during announcments of their names. It seems so realistic. Even the way they move to walk. It doesn't stutter or slide the legs the way the older version used to a little bit. Believe me I notice most of the difference with those kinds of things in a game. You can do a one on one match, tag team, steel cage and even hell in the cell matches plus more. The game offers a lot. There are even little secrets you can unlock along the way, but I won't say what or who I am talking about, you'll have to play the game and see that for yourself. The game runs 100% smoothly. No skips or anything like the older version did every now and then. This game is the best and I do very highly recommend it. Happy wrestling everyone! The bottom line is this. The games looks, sounds, runs, and plays great. Out of a scale of one to ten. This games gets an 11 by me and my brother. Yes were are in our 20's and still playing video games, but at least we play the best of the best and share our experience with others. :-) Hope you take our advice about SmackDown! vs. RAW 2006 for PlayStation 2 and try it out for your self. I am sure anyone who is a wrestling fan as it is, will get hooked quite easily. I don't think it could be made any better then it has this time. |
