Pros: Amazing emotion, texture, diversity, and beauty...
Cons: Not as well known as many other Miles Davis works...
The Bottom Line: Classical Jazz with a definite Spanish flair, Sketches of Spain is a masterwork from a widely acknowledged musical genius.

Pros: A work of genius on the part of Davis and composer-arranger Gil Evans
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: This album is one of a kind. The fusion of Spanish flamenco sounds with jazz and blues is performed to perfection by Davis and ensemble.

Pros: Classical music meets jazz in this creative hybrid.
Cons: I wish the shorter pieces were further developed.
The Bottom Line: Get it for Rodrigo's graceful "Concierto de Aranjuez."
